Begin your food tour in the poetic district of Acropolis, where you can enjoy munching on a cheese pie the Greek ”tyropita” baked by the oldest bakery in Athens. Exploring the picturesque side streets of the city, tasting a refreshing Greek yogurt, enjoy the Greek’s favorite snacks of bougatsa and koulouri. Following this, we will lead you to the vibrant Monastiraki, a popular place with the locals where you will be captivated by the beautiful colors of fresh vegetables, and multicultural vibe. Stopping directly in the center of the market you can enjoy traditional Greek home cooking with tastings of meals such as; mousaka, gemista, and sardines. After trying a selection of iconic Greek cheeses and cured meats, discover a fantastic Greek mezze shop where you can meet the locals and share a variety of tasty treasures. There is no way to end an Athens food tour other than with dessert…a ball of delightfully loukoumades! The Greek donut!
