Chocolate and nut treats wrapped in foil!
”This is one of my grandmother’s specialties! Really easy to make and absolutely delicious. In Greece there are several types of chocolate treats wrapped in foil u can usually by at the candy shops, the purpose was treating the guests when they were visiting us during Christmas. But in villages, they don’t always have candy shops. That’s we me grandmother see usually make her one version of wrapped chocolate treats!”
Ingredients for almonds and cherry treats:
400 gr dark chocolate
350gr almonds
150gr candied cherry diced
coconut to sprikle on the top
Method:
- Melt the chocolate in a bowl over steaming water
- Let it cool for 5 minutes then add the almonds and cherries, stirring gently
- Take small spoonfuls of the mixture (making sure each spoonful contains lots of yummy bits) and
place in small balls on the baking paper - Sprinkle with the coconut shavings and leave to cool
Ingredients for walnut and orange treats:
400 dark or milk chocolate
300 walnuts
150 candied pil of orange diced
Method:
- Melt the chocolate in a bowl over steaming water
- Let it cool for 5 minutes then add the walnuts and pieces of candied orange, stirring gently
- Take small spoonfuls of the mixture (making sure each spoonful contains lots of yummy bits) and
place in small balls on the baking paper - Leave to cool
